So yesterday was very exciting as I found out that one of my evil twin aka M.J. Scott books has finalled in the Best Paranormal Romance category of the RITAs! Woot! I’m thrilled. I still don’t quite believe it!

In other fun news, my friend Anne Gracie (who writes lovely lovely Regencies) has a new website and asked me to do a painting for it! Very chuffed. Never thought I’d be able to say I sold a painting. It’s a gorgeous site, go check it (and her books) out.

November means that the holiday season is heading our way. Happy October. Though it’s going to be a busy month around here and then we head into November and December and all the craziness of the holidays. I just handed in Playing Fast, Book 5 in the New York Saints series and am currently writing the next evil twin book (the sequel to THE SHATTERED COURT) and doing the copy edits on Playing Hard which is out in February. So plenty to do in between everything else.

I’m back from New York (awesome but hot but awesome) and off to another conference. This weekend I’m at the Romance Writers of Australia Conference in my lovely home town, Melbourne. It’s even supposed to be turning on some warmer weather, so yay. I’ll be signing at the Australian Romance Readers Assocation booksigning on Saturday afternoon along with many other awesome authors. LAWLESS IN LEATHER has almost been out for a few months now (time flies!)  (If you haven’t yet, links to buy here). And I’m getting there on the writing of PLAYING FAST, the fifth Saints book. Hopefully it will be finished in a few more weeks. You’ll meet the hero of this book in Oliver’s book. He’s a bit of a troublemaker, so I’m going to have fun making him earn his happy ending. Next up, I’ll be writing an evil twin book, the sequel to THE SHATTERED COURT, which came out in April (start of a new series, so time to get in and read it).

So the author is going to be out in the wild. On June 18th Anne Gracie, Keri Arthur, C.S. Pacat and I will be doing a Fantasy and Romance event at Dymocks in Collins Street, Melbourne at 6.30pm. It’s a free event but Dymocks would like people to book so they know how many people to expect. More details on their Facebook page or on Trybooking.com. It’s going to be a fun night, so come and play with us if you’re a Melbournian or in Melbourne that night.

To everyone who nominated The Devil in Denim in the Favourite Contemporary Romance in the 2014 Australian Romance Readers Awards. It’s really exciting to get the nod for the first book in a new genre.

The winners are announced at the Australian Romance Readers convention which is in Canberra this year. Hopefully I’ll see some of you there.
