Scott’s strong debut contemporary kicks off a baseball-themed series with a bang. Maggie Jameson has spent her entire life training to run the New York Saints, a baseball team owned by her father. She’s disabused of that notion when Alex Winters and his friends Lucas and Mal—all of whom had their own college baseball dreams cut short by injury—swoop in to buy the struggling team. Maggie is livid, and when she falls hard for Alex, that only makes her feel more conflicted. After a scheming rival makes a bid for the team and offers Maggie the CEO spot she’s always wanted, she has no idea which way to turn. Scott does a fine job of balancing sports and passion, giving readers plenty to look forward to the next installment in the series. Agent: Miriam Kriss, Irene Goodman Literary Agency. (Sept.)  PW also included The Devil in Denim in their Top 10 Romances for Fall 2014.

Kirkus Reviews

Sexy, well-written, layered and engaging. Emotional intensity and dynamic conflict combined with a lively setting make this baseball-themed romance a hit.

Night Owl Reviews (4 1/2 stars Top Pick)

The Devil in Denim was a page turner for me and I hope there is more about Alex and Maggie and the Saints baseball team players to build off of this great book….Pick this book up for an awesome summer sports read. I’m looking forward to more books in this series. This is book one and it gets the series off to a great start.
